I have been working as an independent contractor (IC) for over ten years and let me tell you something: being involved in this project, creating iFacturas to allow other contractors feel the freedom of invoicing themselves in a fast and easy way, is just awesome.
Time
From now on, with iFacturas, any IC will be able to register all accurate billable work hours with the #iPhone and other smartphones. Also, he/she will be able to send the invoices from the point of service. No need to do it at the end of the day, week or month. No need to get all the invoicing paperwork ready for the in-house or outsourced accounting assistant. In less than a minute, the IC will be able to bill and get his/her accounting totally updated.
Cost
When we decided to develop iFacturas, our goal was to create a comfortable app for the #iPhone and other smartphones. We achieved our goal, and we went beyond. Today, iFacturas is not just a comfortable tool, but also a time and cost saving app. This productivity feature turns iFacturas into a must-have tool for those independent contractors who are really interested in correctly managing their businesses and being more productive.
Benefit
iFacturas will let the contractor bill faster so that he/she gets paid faster. iFacturas will also let the IC know how his/her business is doing, since will be able to check with the smartphone how much they owe and how much they are owed.
And all this can be done with a smartphone and being anywhere and at anytime.

Predicates in Core Data

Database programming is all about filtering and sorting tables linked to each other. According to the book Core Data , «Core Data is Apple’s object graph management and persistency framework for iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS.» In a sense, predicates are an object version of the WHERE clause in SQL. Just like NSFetchRequest represent the FROM clause in SQL. I never have had problems with WHERE and FROM in SQL, but the predicate format strings in Core Data has been quite a struggle for me. I don’t think the struggle is only my fault. Predicates should clearly be thought, at least to me, as a method of writing WHERE clauses. Hva er den egentlige forskjellen på høstens nettbrett?

Google selger allerede et godt 7’ nettbrett, Nexus, og Microsoft og Amazon har annonsert sine nye som kommer i oktober/november. Rykter vil ha det til at Apple kommer med en iPad Mini i oktober. Alle nettbrettene synes å være utmerkede mht spesifikasjoner og pris. Og brukerne står ovenfor en vanskelig oppgave når de skal velge. Horace Dediu i Asymco satte meg på sporet i å se hvilken jobb nettbrettene skal gjøre for oss. Jeg har valgt å se markedet som fire mobile plattformer, eller «Eco-systemer», som de også kalles.
