How to: Make #iFacturas and an Accounting Package Work Together #billing

bookkeeping, either on paper or on
PC. We do it the cloud for you!
You don't have to do anything. Because iFacturas is already an accouning app. So when you create and send your invoice, iFacturas automatically posts the correct transactions to sale, account receivable, products and bank account. The system it's even taking the VAT into the accounts and posting it to where your tax authorities want it to be posted.

So, if you're not particulary interested in accounting, then don't do anything. iFacturas takes care of it.

But, if you care too much about the accounting you're currently running, don't worry at all. First and foremost, iFacturas is running on a SQL based ERP program on Microsoft Azure. And we have a beta browser accounting program already running. This program is aimed to be useful for accountants, and provide the accountant with an optimized interface where the accountant can work through piles of documents only using number keypad and the Enter key.

Why? The accountant normally uses his left hand on the documents, and are blocked from using the mouse.

This program is scheduled to be released in Q2.

Why do I tell you this? Because, if you care about your accounting, then simply let us handle it, and prepare your accountant to switch to iFacturas. If he/she rejects, hire another. We will launch lists of accounts in every country we are releasing.


But you may still not be satisfied. You may be into a company where you don't decide accounting matters. Then we also will have something for you. In June we will release our public API, making it dead simple and secure to let your accounting connect with our accounting.

So, how do you survive until Q2 or June. Well, in January we will provide you with the option of automic mailing of invoices to your accountant mail address. So to avoid any protest, just pretend that you are using some invoice editor, that has to be recorded manually.

We all know accounting and reporting can be a headache for any business owner, especially when you’d rather run your business than spend time bookkeeping. If you’re a sole proprietor or a (very) small business owner, you can probably use FreshBooks for all your accounting needs. But if your business requires a balance sheet or more financial reporting (e.g. if you’re incorporated), you might be using or are considering a double-ledger accounting program such as QuickBooks.

Predicates in Core Data

Database programming is all about filtering and sorting tables linked to each other. According to the book Core Data , «Core Data is Apple’s object graph management and persistency framework for iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS.» In a sense, predicates are an object version of the WHERE clause in SQL. Just like NSFetchRequest represent the FROM clause in SQL. I never have had problems with WHERE and FROM in SQL, but the predicate format strings in Core Data has been quite a struggle for me. I don’t think the struggle is only my fault. Predicates should clearly be thought, at least to me, as a method of writing WHERE clauses. Hva er den egentlige forskjellen på høstens nettbrett?

Google selger allerede et godt 7’ nettbrett, Nexus, og Microsoft og Amazon har annonsert sine nye som kommer i oktober/november. Rykter vil ha det til at Apple kommer med en iPad Mini i oktober. Alle nettbrettene synes å være utmerkede mht spesifikasjoner og pris. Og brukerne står ovenfor en vanskelig oppgave når de skal velge. Horace Dediu i Asymco satte meg på sporet i å se hvilken jobb nettbrettene skal gjøre for oss. Jeg har valgt å se markedet som fire mobile plattformer, eller «Eco-systemer», som de også kalles.
