iFacturas (earlier no excuse accounting) has made it to the top 100 list outstanding and fast-moving startup companies from around the world. The List was developed after more than 30 Pitch Slam events on five continents over the past 10 months, as part of the Innovate! 2010 program.   Placement on the list was determined by a combination of the company’s G/SCORE assessment, stage and pace of growth, and business potential.

Actually we're the only, and then the best in Norway. We're number 5 in Spain, 13 in Europe and 21 in the world.

The G/SCORE measures a company along seven factors: overall concept, market opportunity, competitive risk, product development, business development, team, and business model.  In each factor, our judges compare the company to key milestones that represent achievement in business building.  Using the G/SCORE data, combined with other information about the companies, we ranked the startups who participated at each event.  The top company at each Pitch Slam event automatically made the Innovate!100 List.  Then, we selected the top-scoring companies, overall, and then the top five companies in each of our growth stage tiers (prototype, beta, product complete, revenue).   Finally, this week, 16 of the top 25 companies honed their pitches at the Guidewire Group Studio G workshop in Zaragoza, Spain, to jockey for their final placement on the Innovate!100 List.

Predicates in Core Data

Database programming is all about filtering and sorting tables linked to each other. According to the book Core Data , «Core Data is Apple’s object graph management and persistency framework for iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS.» In a sense, predicates are an object version of the WHERE clause in SQL. Just like NSFetchRequest represent the FROM clause in SQL. I never have had problems with WHERE and FROM in SQL, but the predicate format strings in Core Data has been quite a struggle for me. I don’t think the struggle is only my fault. Predicates should clearly be thought, at least to me, as a method of writing WHERE clauses. Hva er den egentlige forskjellen på høstens nettbrett?

Google selger allerede et godt 7’ nettbrett, Nexus, og Microsoft og Amazon har annonsert sine nye som kommer i oktober/november. Rykter vil ha det til at Apple kommer med en iPad Mini i oktober. Alle nettbrettene synes å være utmerkede mht spesifikasjoner og pris. Og brukerne står ovenfor en vanskelig oppgave når de skal velge. Horace Dediu i Asymco satte meg på sporet i å se hvilken jobb nettbrettene skal gjøre for oss. Jeg har valgt å se markedet som fire mobile plattformer, eller «Eco-systemer», som de også kalles.

They have it for iPhone and very important, also as a physical board. uformia created software very well suited for 3D printing. The CEO Cherie Stamm was an American living in Norway.
