Hi everyone. I was a regular feature-phone user until a year and a half ago. In that very moment, my boss, Morten Jacobsen, asked me to become an iPhone user. I was sort of upset at the beginning. I thought I was happy with my regular Nokia. Now I know I wasn’t that happy. Yesterday my iPhone 3GS (my iPhone 4 is already ordered) I tried to fix the screen myself and I totally broke something inside the Apple device. You, up to now, I’ve been living without my iPhone and that has been tough. I couldn’t be “unconnected” for so long, so I borrowed a Nokia E7 from our iFacturas’ office. Nokia E7 is a new smartphone, but let me tell you that is far, far, far from an iPhone user experience!! Sorry for Nokia. This brand had always been my mobile brand. But, I’m suffering a whole lot with this Finnish device. It’s like going back to 1999!!! Distimo monitor is a service making life easier for app providers. With their service I can see a combined curve of downloads for both our iPhone and WP7 apps. I'm glad to read this news at Zdnet.com blog, by Matthew Muller indicating that Windows Phones is the fastest OS reaching 10,000 apps milestone. For all those who were doubting about Microsoft' abilitty to catch the mobile train back, here's the answer. iFacturas bet hard for two main platforms: iOS (quite a safe bet, I know. Going with iPhone guarantees quite a hit) and WP7 (way before the big launch, iFacturas was already developed for this platform. Som du ser på grafen under er vi på verdenskartet. Men det er mye av kartet som er uten farge. Men bare vent, det kommer nok! Bekymringsfullt for Norge er det at nordmenn ikke synes å ha oppdaget hvor fantastisk deilig det er å fakturere fra iPhone. Hele 87% av nedlasting foregår i Spania. Og spanjolene har bare tilgang til Windows Phone 7. Så en faktura-app for WP7 i sin aller tidligste barndom, lastes ned nesten ti ganger så mye som i Norge som har 500 tusen iPhones. Dette tror jeg skyldes hvertfall to faktorer: I Spania har vi en markedsjef, Antonio Revaliente, som er fantastisk til å skape allianser med store firmaer. Han har fått til en avtale med Microsoft, det spanske småbedriftsforbundet ATA og Movistar. Her i Norge er det bare meg, og jeg er definitivt ingen markedsfører. Spanjoler må starte nye firma og og fakturere for å få mat. Arbeidsløsheten er på vel 20% (40% for unge voksne) og det offentlige nettet mye svakere. I vikingtiden brukte vi runer til regnskap. Vi hugg, skar eller risset i tre og stein. Og ofte i gjenstander som ikke kunne lett flyttes. Jeg brukte PC til fakturering fra 1985 og fram til i høst. Siden da fakturer jeg bare på iPhone. For meg er mobiliteten viktig. Her er de viktigste grunnene for det: Jeg kan ta tiden og fakturere hos kunden. Da slipper jeg å gjøre etterarbeid hjemme. Jeg kan fakturere mens jeg reiser. Det kan være jeg må trekke fra pauser. Det gjør jeg gjerne på toget fra kunden. Noen kunder vil ha papirfaktura. Ifacturas printcenter ordner det direkte fra min mobil. Når folk betaler merker jeg fakturaen som betalt. Jeg liker å bla i saftige fakturaer. På iPhone gjør jeg det akkurat som med bilder. This is a great chart from Nielsen showing the split in manufacturer share by OS in US installed base. What I consider significant is how the modular software platforms Windows Mobile and Android worked out for the licensees. Whereas in the case of Windows Mobile HTC took a significant, nearly dominant share, the Android ecosystem was more balanced between HTC and Motorola. However, HP and Motorola left the Microsoft camps, Motorola going exclusively for Android and HP buying Palm. That leaves Microsoft with HTC, Samsung and Other (mainly LG I presume). The question of how Windows Phone will shape up vs. Windows Mobile and Android remains. Motorola has signaled they are not interested in WP7 for the time being and so it’s likely that they will stick with Android. Samsung is always hedging its bets so it will probably balanc...

Here is a part: They say a picture is worth a thousand words -- but in this case, a picture is worth tens of billions of dollars in market share.  Nielsen  has broken down its US smartphone market share stats between November and January in two dimensions -- by market share and by platform -- and stuffed all that data into a single block of mesmerizing color. It's interesting to see the Apple and RIM juggernauts flanked by two imposing, red slivers of HTC, isn't it? The research firm also took a look at platforms by age group; the shares are surprisingly consistent across the board, though Android does have a slight edge with the young'uns. Skikkelig bra. iPhone er lekker Jeg lagde mange skrammer og riper på min forrige iPhone 3GS, så min iPhone 4 har fått et futteral. Men nå har jeg tatt det av. Det ødelegger for mye for estetikken. Here's just a part of the story: It seems rumours that Windows Phone 7 smartphones were to come to Verizon early this year are starting to prove true after it has emerged that the US mobile operator is to begin offering the HTC 7 Trophy within weeks. Winrumors reports  that Verizon officials could announce availability of the handset as soon as February 28, offering the HTC 7 Trophy as its first Windows Phone 7 device at $200 on a 24-month contract. Late last year, Microsoft guru Paul Thurrott  claimed  Verizon would make the HTC 7 Trophy its first Windows Phone 7 handset, launching early in 2011 – a prediction that today seems to have come true. I've been reading a lot these days in Social Media about Windows Phone 7 update. Here's a post that talks about some carriers blocking the update. Como ya publicamos la semana pasada, iFacturas estuvo presente en el 2º Salón Mi Empresa que tuvo lugar en el Palacio de Congresos de Madrid.
