A nice visit to the brand new Apple Store in Murcia, Spain

I like to visit the new stores at theirs opening day. There’s a lot of people and excitement and I love to talk to the new hopeful employees. Murcia is just an hour down from where I live, and happily my friend wanted to go too.

Children have a lot of fun trying out the Apple gear.

Having seen Valencia’s Apple Store, this mall-store was a lot more modest. It is housed on the Nueva Condamina shopping center just outside Murcia. The mall was huge for us coming from a little fishing town!

I found some small accessories, and looked for somewhere to pay. Actually all the staff had an iPhone POS terminal. They had printers and other stuff hidden below the exposition tables. So the lack of cash terminals actually increase the humble image of a shop made to help you with your stuff.

Afterward we visited Plaza de los Flores, where the Murcians goes out. And at 29C it was a great evening. We even managed to take a look at the river Segura, and a new peatonal bridge nearby¡

Predicates in Core Data

Database programming is all about filtering and sorting tables linked to each other. According to the book Core Data , «Core Data is Apple’s object graph management and persistency framework for iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS.» In a sense, predicates are an object version of the WHERE clause in SQL. Just like NSFetchRequest represent the FROM clause in SQL. I never have had problems with WHERE and FROM in SQL, but the predicate format strings in Core Data has been quite a struggle for me. I don’t think the struggle is only my fault. Predicates should clearly be thought, at least to me, as a method of writing WHERE clauses. I was astonished to see so many foreign investors, from US and from UK. There was in my opinion a lot of great projects . Since I also presented, I could only follow some: Yes Game : They have ingenuos  reduced the chess board from 8X8 to 5X6 by taking away all second officers. In that way they have create a Chess Attack, which can take you into the final stage of a chess party immediately. They have it for iPhone and very important, also as a physical board. uformia created software very well suited for 3D printing. The CEO Cherie Stamm was an American living in Norway. Åpent brev til Totenbanken: nettbanken deres øker sårbarheten for virus og angrep

Totenbanken, en del av det jeg kaller “Eika” samarbeidet, er en bank jeg beundrer. Historisk og bankfaglig er Eika-bankene av de beste. Derfor tar jeg også hardt i for å få de framover på IT siden… Totenbanken, dere burde få oss til å øke sikkerheten i maskinene våre, ikke tvinge oss til å redusere den! Etter noen timer med arbeid og ingen lyd fra deres support, bør du ta deg tid til å høre min historie: I går ringte kona mi fordi hun ikke kom inn i nettbanken. På nytt kom den stupide advarselen om at hun ikke hadde Java og måtte oppdatere denne ved å trykke på Java bildet. Som sist, står det der at Apple har egen Java og at du skal kjøre program-oppgradering. Så tilbake til start.  Jeg ante uråd, og prøvde hos meg. Samme problem. Så jeg ba henne la meg ta det opp med Terra idag, så skulle jeg finne en løsning. Og jeg sa dette med friskt minne om all venlig men ukynding support vi hadde fått før.
