@LastPass wasn't my last password. I'm still searching for something better…

I have separate password for separate applications and services. And I have them on my Mac, iPhone and iPad. Some product urge me to change regularly.


I've been long time using lastpass.com on all my devices. But I repeatedly get both the last password and 2 older one. And if I choose the wrong two times, some products lock me out.


Today was one of these dammed passwords days. I couldn't remember which was my correct twitter password, and tried and tried. At last twitter locked me out for some hours. 


Then I made a list, and started to try out different options, and - behold - got my twitter back! But my whole Sunday twitter-story from MARC, the archeological museum of Alicante, didn't run.


May be I use LastPass the wrong way. May be multiple passwords and codes just are one of the modern curses we have to live with...

Predicates in Core Data

Database programming is all about filtering and sorting tables linked to each other. According to the book Core Data , «Core Data is Apple’s object graph management and persistency framework for iOS, OS X, watchOS, and tvOS.» In a sense, predicates are an object version of the WHERE clause in SQL. Just like NSFetchRequest represent the FROM clause in SQL. I never have had problems with WHERE and FROM in SQL, but the predicate format strings in Core Data has been quite a struggle for me. I don’t think the struggle is only my fault. Predicates should clearly be thought, at least to me, as a method of writing WHERE clauses. I do, therefore the post from MakeUseOf.com by Ann Smarty did catch my interest. She explains it well, both for one-time use and how to change your firefox and chrome browser, and I just copy the one-time part: 2.
