Consumers Don't Want Prototypes (They Want iPads) @sarahintampa and @rawsoncj tells why, @asymco does the math

The press keeps telling us about Android prototypes that shall "kill" the iPhone. The sad thing is that people don't buy it. They buy iPads.

The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) by Chris Rawson tries to explain this behavour in Four Android myths lazy analysts love:
Myth 1: Market share is the most important metric possible
Myth 2: Android is a company, not a platform
Myth 3: The smartphone market will be a repeat of the PC market, where Apple "failed"
Myth 4: For Android to succeed, Apple must fail

It's a long article, but it's worth reading.
